Wind Energy

Wind Power Full-Power Converter System

Pain Points in the Application Scenario

The motor circuit side has complex operating conditions, with significant harmonic and impact interference, making fault protection challenging. With the increased capacity of wind power, the voltage at the AC-side circuit connection point has increased from 690V to 850–1140V, significantly increasing the short-circuit fault energy, which imposes higher requirements on the breaking capacity of circuit breakers.

Value of the Solution

To address harsh operating conditions, the circuit breaker completed pre-installation environmental testing and was optimized for “three-proof” protection (moisture, salt spray, and mold resistance), improving suitability for high-humidity and high-salt-spray environments. The product passed vibration tests with an amplitude of ±3.5 mm (5–8.45 Hz) and an acceleration of 10 m/s² (8.45–200 Hz), confirming reliability under severe vibration. It also completed a 1140V dielectric test (the upper limit of the low-voltage range per national standards), ensuring stable operation during occasional high-voltage ride-through events during grid connection.
